IRISH MMA star Ian Garry is set for fight Geoff Neal at UFC 292 later this summer.
Neal and Garry are set to fight at Boston’s TD Garden, August 19 in a welterweight clash.

News of the fight booking was first reported by RTÉ Sport.
The Dubliner, who is fresh in the promotion’s official rankings at #13 after an opening round KO win over Daniel Rodriguez will face the #9 ranked American.
The end came at 2:57 of the opening round as Garry picked apart his opponent with some slick counter-striking before planting the head kick. Garry leaped on top, hammering punches until referee Dan Miragliotta stopped the contest.
25-year-old Garry also received a $60,000 performance bonus as he awed the sold-out US crowd with the flawless performance.
His professional record is now 12-0 after the win at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Neal is unbeaten Garry’s toughest test to date. The American is just 2-3 in his past five outings but his losses came to some of the top names at 170lbs as he sits at 15-5 in his pro career.
Last time out at UFC 285, Neale (7-3 UFC) lost via submission to the impressive Shavkat Rakhmonov, prior to that fight he has wins over Vicente Luque and Santiago Ponzinibbio.
The event will mark the promotion’s seventh visit to Boston and first since UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs. Weidman in October 2019.
A bantamweight title bout between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley will headline the fight card in Boston, Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, Garry’s compatriot Conor McGregor has addressed the incident where he sent the Miami Heat mascot to the hospital during the NBA Finals.
The UFC star came onto the court at half-time of the game between Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, where he performed a skit with Burnie the mascot.
McGregor threw a punch at Burnie after the 7’6″ orange-furred mascot came out wearing huge golden boxing gloves.
‘Notorious’ proceeded to ‘knock-out’ Burnie and pound another punch into him as he lay on the court.
However, all was seemingly not well afterwards after reports came out saying that the mascot took the hit a little too strongly and was sent to hospital.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim he was transported to “the emergency room of a nearby hospital for treatment.”
